We held our first customer golf day 21 years ago, well it was more like a week and we started on the Sunday and finished on the Friday. If you were there I’m sure like me you will have many fond memories, if you can remember then maybe you didn’t have as good a time as you should. This year we held the day on the 17th of August at Grange Over Sands golf club and over 70 Customers and guests turned out, the weather was truly one of the best days we have had this year with brilliant sunshine all day. The course was in great condition even if the greens were a little slow they ran true all the same. They ran very true for some with some of the highest scoring we have seen at Grange.

Those that arrived in the morning were able to play a nearest the pin competition in the swing room and put for a bottle beer, bottle of wine or a bottle of champagne on the putting green. I’d like to say a big thank you to Grange golf professional Nick Lowe who not only helped organize all the events but played in the competition as well. Nick uses his swing room for game improvement, with full swing analysis and club fitting is available.

Having said that some of you don’t need any help at all, with first and second scores of 42 and 41 points. The winner Danial Brough won the latest Garmin slim line X40 watch, not that he had any trouble with his yardages on the day! Once again we had lots of prizes for a hole in one, the main one was a brand new Mini Cooper, the closest was a member of our accountancy team Kevin Walsh who was just 19 inches away, hopefully one of these years we will see it. I could go on about the day but I’m sure you would rather see some of the photographs of the day. We as staff look forward to the day not only to get out of the office but because we know so many of you beyond a customer relationship we love to see you have a good time.

The Day could not have happened without the help of: Grange Pro Nick Lowe. Staff Ann, Kathryn, Anna and Emily. Sausage and mash by Les.
